L4600DT with LA764 in the stable

That looks like a nice installation and thanks for the part numbers. When it warms up (been hanging between 0-15 deg) I will add some rubber floor mats. Doing chores and stuff that floor board gets pretty slick with snow and ice. Slipped ounce and looked at that hand rail that's not there….I...

lights -gauges out and wont start

Brett, If you were running your lights and they and the gauges went dead. The engine would continue to run until you shut it off. You might have a bad alternator, that couldn't keep up with your lights and when you shut it off and tried to start just a click. It's just a thought, in case you...

L4600DT with LA764 in the stable

TexasBoy, I had the dealer add 1 set of rear remotes and a rear work light. If you add anything else to your tractor I'm always looking for good ideas. Planning on replacing the tool box with a bigger one, I don't know what they were thinking when they put that little plastic one on. I also...

L4600DT with LA764 in the stable

Wolfman, I will look into the rim guard, I would guess it's not corrosive? I've heard of the beet juice, no experience with it. Someone suggested windshield washer fluid, never heard of using it, from what you're telling me that's not a good idea. I appreciate the feed back. I wouldn't mind...

L4600DT with LA764 in the stable

TexasBoy, I really like your tractor pics and that other hand hold looks like something I'd like to do also. I really like my Allis Chalmers also, I've had my 45 for about 10 years, it has factory power steering. I traded in my 200 allis for the Kubota, and I still have the WD 40. I always...

    FEL questoin

Skeets, I had a Bush Hog loader on my B2350 and it was a good loader. The first thing I did was beef up the bucket, but it worked great and if you buy new you can get orange.

    Transmission oil question

Welcome to the site! I would go straight to the Kubota dealer and just pick up the right oil. Even if it's a little more expensive at least you know for sure you have the right oil sometimes cheaper doesn't pay.

L4600DT with LA764 in the stable

I had to make the choice between the L3800 and the L4600. After looking at all the specs and prices and listening to my better half I decided on the L4600 4x4 with LA764 loader, 2 sets of wheel weights, rear work light and a set of hyd remotes and a set of forks. The dealer had to order a couple...

    Getting cold, what Block heater?

I had the dealer install mine. It also is a screw in type in the water jacket. I plug mine in the night before or an hour pryer to use and it fires right up. I have one on my truck that goes in the bottom radiator hose and works good also. Takes the guess work out of starts around zero.

    Got myself a trailer

I can see all the pics both trailers look great! The nice thing about your own trailer is….it's your own trailer. I agree with Wolfman, I would leave it loaded the way it is and just move front or rear to get the right weight on the tongue than mark the deck by the front tire when you have the...

    New to PTO

Tsafa, I usually engage the PTO on every tractor at idle or if a heavy load just above idle. If you do kill the tractor when you engage the PTO just bump the throttle up a little next time on the same implement and put that in your memory. That being said…..If the tractor kills slightly above...

    L3600 Kubota GST noise

I would have to agree with the rest. That really sounds like a throw out bearing if it is quite when you depress the clutch.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I finally got my tractor(L4600 4x4 with FEL) today!! My dealer brought it in on a trailer and picked up my 200, sorry to see it go, been around a long time. Of course it was cold and starting to rain when he brought it and I was right in the middle of hanging Christmas lights on my 2 story...

    Marking stuff on a tractor

That's a great idea. I was helping a buddy of mine that has a few tractors and trucks and he used the label maker on tractor lights also. He would just put the bulb number on the outside of the light so if he had one out he would just pick up the bulb while in town. He also used it on filters...

L4600 bushhog and finish mower sizes?

I don't know how big your place is, but that tractor will handle either one. Just keep in mind an 8 footer is not only bigger, but usually weighs quite a bit more, costs more and reduces the maneuverability of the tractor. If you have a lot to bush hog the the 8 foot would be a time saver. The...

Need Help from Kabota experianced operators

No I work out of country on Aircraft. I think oil rigs would be a lot more physical and dirty too. I have been doing this along time and it pays the bills.

    L4200 Glow Plug Light Question

"As far as the amount of time required, on mine maybe 2 or 3 seconds is all that's needed. Just turn the key back and count "1, 2, 3 and fire it up." Thanks for the response. It will be nice to have a good FEL again. I have one on my WD40, but by todays standards it's not that great.

Need Help from Kabota experianced operators

Yeah, I don't have to like no seat time yet, that's the way it goes. I've had my 200 a while, just don't need that much horse. 0% was great and they gave me a really good price for my tractor. I had a b 2350 about 15 years ago and it was a great tractor. I found out the hard way in high school...

    L4200 Glow Plug Light Question

Just ordered a L4600. At the dealer they explained I had to turn the key backwards to activate the glow plugs. I asked for how long and they said a couple seconds. My question is do you turn the key on the glow plug setting until the light goes off or just count off a few seconds. I have been...
