    Tractor Down! Fuel issue?

Good news/Bad news: - Line from tank to filter assembly is clear; flow was full as soon as I disconnected it - Line from fiter assy to lift pump also clear - No apparent output from the lift pump; little and sporadic spurts of fuel with lots of air bubbles Lift pump isn't $30 from Kubota...

Rear tire fill - your thoughts appreciated

There is *always* one; your reflexes are so fast, nothing - nothing- goes over your head, you would catch it!!

Rear tire fill - your thoughts appreciated

Anti-freeze will destroy wheel rims - just like it does bare engine blocks after +1m miles running at high temps.

    Tractor Down! Fuel issue?

the fuel pump (lift pump) and injection pump are shown under the "Engine" assembly drawings vs. the "Fuel System" drawings. The lift pump is shown in the fuel drawings but is not called out. So here is the plan: - Tank to filter flow - remove fuel line and check for obstructions. Likely very...

Rear tire fill - your thoughts appreciated

Five gallon bucket, sump pump, $15 air tool from Tractor Supply and a couple garden hoses. Fill the 5 gallon bucket, hook everything up, start the pump and add AF and water till filled. Stop every once in a while to burp the tire - the $15 air tool makes this easy.

Rear tire fill - your thoughts appreciated

I live in SC TN, temps don't get below freezing here for very long (usually). Rimguard was my first choice for loaded tires, but the nearest dealer (then) was near Lexington KY about a 5-6 hour trip one way. So, I decided to use RV antifreeze - about 6 gallons each tire. Per Rimguard, my rear...

    Tractor Down! Fuel issue?

I was just getting done with about 3 hours of bushhogging yesterday when my Kubota L4330 died. I had it at 540 rpm at the gearbox, then it started to reduce speed over several seconds, then slowly died. I tried to restart several times, and it sort of started then died again. Each time, it...

    Kubota L4330 on a 2-post lift?

I must have done something right. Parked 2 days Before the lift operation: Parked 2 days After the lift operation: It appears the front leak has either stopped or at least severely slowed. I still have a leak in the 3 spool RR valve and one hose at the ferrule. I'll take the win!

Finding a water leak in a buried line

My neighbor has perpetual problems with leaks on his ~3520' water line from the water main and meter to his house. Every time he has a leak, he digs it up and splices in a ball valve, making it easier to isolate the next leak. I bet he has texted/called me a half dozen times to go turn his...

    Kubota L4330 on a 2-post lift?

I don't like it either. But the FEL mount in the front is all that's there - you can't lift using the front axle because it's not fixed. And the large rear tires limit how far I can get the lift arms to the rear. But it worked. I'm going to go and finish it up, then take it down and get back...

    Kubota L4330 on a 2-post lift?

Piece of cake: I was able to tighten every bolt and nut in sight, most importantly, the FEL mounting bolts. My bet is that the vast majority hadn't seen a wrench since either the factory (basic tractor) or the dealer (for the FEL). I tightened all the bolts associated with both the engine...

    Kubota L4330 on a 2-post lift?

Got it on the lift and started lifting it and noticed that the far (non-powered) side safety latch wasn't working. Apparently, I have a problem with the lift I need to fix first. Atlas knows all about the problem.

    Kubota L4330 on a 2-post lift?

With the basic tractor plus liquid ballast plus wheel weights, I'm at 4701 lbs for the tractor. Add the 1157 lbs for the LA853 FEL, that goes to 5860. I have one tool like the Turf kit shown above for my Kubota diesel ZTR; I'm not sure I'd trust it for one end of the tractor.

Good point: Atlas 12k lb lift. At +70 years, I'm done crawling around on the ground.

    Kubota L4330 on a 2-post lift?

I need to work on my tractor and I've never put it on the 2-post lift before. It is a Kubota L4330, ~40 hp with 4wd. The Front End Loader (FEL) will be on but no implement (bucket, grapple etc.). The rear tires are filled ~750 lbs of liquid ballast and there are two lead, steel concrete wheel...
