I asked the service dept at the dealer where I bought the L35 and they said to go by the indicator on the tractor's control panel. So 2500 it is.

Just noticed something odd. The L35 user manual says (p8) that the PTO turns at 540 rpm when the engine is at 2219 rpm. But the control panel on the tractor has a PTO indictator at 2500 rpm. I wonder which one is right??

Thanks for the info BotaDriver. I have ordered a set of the same duckfoot blades. Later this month after the mower is delivered I plan to mow some side-by-side stips comparing the OEM 'Y' blades to the duckfoot blades. I'll post pics.
