Not all coolant drained from BX

11 Years ago I put in some green colored 10 year coolant in mine. I guess it is time to change it this year.

Don't go solely by my opinion. You may want to wait and see if others reply with more sure knowledge than I have.

    Chainsaw safety

Until reading this thread I never thought about PPE for using a chain saw. I actually did not know that they made chaps or Kevlar pants. I have been using a chain saw for more than 55 years, cutting at least 5 cords of wood per year and never thought about having an accident with a chain saw...

    Engine compatibility

I am by no means an expert but it seems to me that since the engine code is the same for both engines that they should be compatible.

I was worried I was expecting way to much out of such a small tractor.

The OP also mentioned that it appeared to have new rims. A machine that old and appears to have been well taken care of makes me think that the previous owner made sure that the tire ratios are correct.

    Giving Up On OTT

I never see any ads and the site runs perfectly 99.9% of the time for me. I have used Adblock plus for many years but I recently found one that so far seems better. AdBlocker Ultimate is what I have been using for the last several months. It is so carefree that unless you check the statistics...

    Daily Chuckle

Obviously photo-shopped. That silhouette is showing right handed carry on the left hip. Not at all convenient to draw the gun.

    Seat Weight Adjustment

As mentioned by Russell King in post#4, loosen the screw that is the indicator and then turn the adjusting knob to where you want it. After you get the weight adjusted, re-tighten the indicator screw to lock it in place for the weight you have chosen.

The Original Tractor Relief Tool™ a Must Have!

I like the idea of your Tractor Relief Tool. It seems to me that it not only makes it easy to relieve excess hydraulic pressure, it appears that it would also prevent damage to the coupling when using it to relieve pressure in the lines.

    maintenance

The hydraulic fluid level should be checked when the tractor is shut down for the day because the oil level will always be higher when the engine and transmission are hot, than when the engine and transmission are cold.

    maintenance

I would run the tractor and work it as always and check the fluid level right after shutting it down for the day. Check the level when the tractor is parked in the same place every day. If the level stays the same each time you check it at the end of the day, then do not add any more fluid. The...

    Sprayer Pattern

I run water through my sprayer after each use to ensure that there is no residue to accumulate in the sprayer heads. I also fill with water partially and spray to ensure that the nozzles are still clear before adding whichever pesticide, fertilizer, or weed killer I am spraying.

BXpanded Armor Plate Install Update for newer 2380’s

Unless I am mistaken, it looks to like you will have to remove the BXpanded plate to change the fuel filter. Otherwise, that plate looks like very good protection for the HST fan.

    3-point hitch basics

I see a lot of varying opinions, probably based on experience of those offering their opinion. I expressed my opinion based on my experience, my tractor, and the equipment that I use. Take it for what it is worth to you. I have long ago found that using my Harbor Freight Quick Hitch eliminates...

    3-point hitch basics

You do not want to over-tighten but I do not see any advantage to allowing an implement to sway. You want the implement to be in complete control and the only way to accomplish that is to snug up the adjustment.

    3-point hitch basics

When you attach an implement to the 3-point you will tighten up the lower link arms to prevent the implement from swaying side to side while in use.

    Diesel can fit

I saw some 55 gallon drum dollies at Harbor Freight sometime ago. I don't know if they still sell them because I haven't been there in several years but it's worth checking into.
