    L 245 mid deck mower ?

I think Karr67 is right, this type of mower deck would be too much trouble to install and remove. Have you tried a rear finish mower? In certain situations I think they are better than a mid deck. Anyhow here is a pic of a Superior mower that was for sale on the net (Apologies to the owner)...

    L 245 mid deck mower ?

A rear PTO mid mount mower is the best option, you see them come up for sale sometime, Superior made one in Australia I think

    Wheel slip/spin

I like Carlisle HD Field Trax tires, they are very grippy and not too bad on the lawn. Anything with a more aggressive tread pattern will be better than turfs though. Looking at the Kubota Kommader and see that it has "low profile" tires, I can't see any advantages?

    BX25D. Mod #1 and continued.

Nice mirrors .. and wide angles on both sides! Forgive me if this has been mentioned before, but I notice plastic edge beading on the fenders since the first post, is that standard or mod?

    Gear Drive Transmission VS HST

I think you will find that most SCUTs are now HST and that is what people are used to, I have found that its harder to trade a gear tractor. I only use my HST for steep hillside mowing and would not go back to gear.

    BX2660 - this week's problem

Hi Tundra sorry I wasn't of more help, sent you a PM about the possible cause :) and had to put the Kubota to bed .. it was 1 in the morning here. LOL I think you should remind your dealer that you bought a new Kubota not a Grey Import. A tractor that won't shut off is a safety issue...

    Question about Oil

I use Amsoil in a BX2360, engine and HST, since about 50hrs. Cons- expensive Pros- tractor still going Did the switch as Kubota does not stock SUDT here and wanted to run synthetic due to hot operating conditions.

    Wheel stud removal

My spacers were from The Tracks Co (as used by others on this site) .. after my stud removal problems I left the two studs on the other hub alone and just put the spacer over them and tightened using the nuts, no need to shorten the studs in my case. Means that I have no studs to hang a wheel...

    Wheel stud removal

I think I know what you mean .. had the same problem when putting spacers on my BX, to get the studs out I used two nuts locked against each other, it was very tight but I foolishly kept turning and unscrewing the stud, ended up damaging the stud and thread on the hub, I guess the factory used...

    ballooned filter

The original grey filter was really tight on mine from the factory .. yep show the dealer and get him to cut it open. Just wondering if you serviced the screen and was it dirty?

    hydro cooler on a bx2200

I saw on another forum where someone used an adapter plate between the hydro filter and plumbed the lines to an oil cooler at the back of the tractor, I think the filter is rated at 120psi. I was thinking about the steering return line and mounting a chassis rail cooler on the left hand side...

Kubota tractors disign for hills is missing

I put 2 inch spacers on the rear of my BX2360, cannot go any wider as the rear tires will hit the scalp wheels of the mower deck. I agree about the increased stress on the bearings but since this machine is only used for mowing I reckon it will be ok. If anyone is interested in the type of...

Kubota tractors disign for hills is missing

Hi Frank Do you have wheels spacers on your BX? makes it a bit safer. The Wildcat/Austrak wasn't a tractor in the conventional style, but I have seen current equivalents sold in Aus, the Ventrac and the AEBI Terratrac are two that come to mind. Cheers
