    Hydrostatic transmission question

    I did not get annowners manual. I'm new to these transmissions. When operating one do you need to hold the foot lever all the way down and control your speed with the throttle or is it ok to control your speed with the foot lever? Like is something slipping if you don't hold it all the way...

    Any reason not to use a warmer thermostat?

    My new to me b7510 does not warm up. Either the stock 160 thermostat is stuck open or someone took it out. Any problem with putting a 180 in there? It well documented that engines get less wear,make less sludge etc when they run at a higher temperature.

    Aftermarket filters

    My local dealer has sky high pricing. Being frugal I would like to try to save money if possible. I understand that there is a chance of being too cheap and I dontdwant to go down that road. Any problem with name brand filters such as Wix or Baldwin on these units?
