    Steering slack

Steering timing I put in a new ballnut and shaft my B8200. I can once again herd it from the drivers seat. But I have good bit (about 6-7 inches) of steering wheel play. I tried the adjusting screw on the end of the selector shaft with little effect. I don't mind it that much since I never...

    Shifting obstruction

I have had this B8200 for a few years and have just worked around this thing (the rusty piece with two holes in the picture) to change ranges. My question is, do I need this thing?

    Hour meter

My B8200 hour meter shows 768 hours. It does not have a column for thousands. Is there any way to tell how many times it has rolled over? Judging from the condition of the tractor and the fact that it was previously owned by the Oklahoma Dept. of Tourism, my guess is that the total hours are...

L2250 front to rear weight ratio

I am going to take my L2250 for a 5 hour drive tomorrow and I was wondering if anyone knew the axle weights for this tractor. I know it isn't absolutely critical I put it on the trailer in just the exact spot, but I would like to be close.

    B8200 fuel filter abuse

I finally got around to changing the fuel filter on my B8200. It would run for about 5 or 10 minutes then bog down. So I thought "fuel starvation". I guess I was right. I don't know how it ran at all after seeing the filter. I think I will change it a bit more often than every 3 years.

    L2250 front axle repair

I haven't broken into this yet, but I was wondering if the bevel gear case seals can be replaced without removing the bevel gear case. If it is possible to just drop all the snap rings, bearings and seals from the bottom. I looked at the parts diagram and could not tell if it is possible. If...

    implements on the ground

I have a few implements that I got along with a tractor purchase. A brush hog, finish mower, box blade and a single bottom plow. I'm not too worried about the plow but I thought I might put them up off the ground on some scrap 6X6's. Is this unnecessary?

    Did I add too much?

I was at a garage sale a couple of weeks ago and bought a L2250 (never know what you'll find at a garage sale) to replace my well worn B8200. After I brought it home, I was topping off all the fluids I noticed the front axle was leaking at both ends. So I checked the dip-stick and it was dry...
