    Rain in fuel tank.

Yes. To be honest, we would have had to be very careful to draw from lowest layer of drain pan first to get an accurate measurement of water. But we wanted to get done before dark and so did not take great pains to do so. But I did place some of the turbulent aspirated fuel into a clear...

    Rain in fuel tank.

So, spent the day under my tractor doing idiotic move mitigation ( see above ). Tried siphoning out tank from filler tube to decrease volume but was only able to get out about 2.5 gallons out. Siphon tube could not reach the bottom of the convoluted right tank. Turns out the hose that connects...

    Rain in fuel tank.

Ty. Good thought. I could also siphon out the tanks from above where it's easier and then drain the balance by draining at the bottom or using the fuel pump as you suggest. Will take the task on tomorrow and report back.

    Rain in fuel tank.

Thanks. I do have multiple piles of slash and much more to pile up into "teepees" to burn. I do use diesel soaked cardboard or rags to start up using care not to let diesel get into soil. Tractor holds 9 gallons and is full so will have more than i need as fire starter. I had the same idea about...

    Rain in fuel tank.

Oh. I see how my post is confusing. The transfer/storage tank is fine and was capped. The tractor fuel tank was the one I left uncapped. It was laying on top of the storage tank.

    Rain in fuel tank.

Thanks. Yep, both a water and particle filter on 100 gal transfer tank. Just got off phone with dealer. Recommends draining all fuel. Apparently on tractor, have to remove a plate to expose tubing connector that communicates with both tanks as that is the low spot. Kick, kick, kick.

    Rain in fuel tank.

My son found the fuel tank cap on the diesel transfer tank. I last filled prior to 3 days of rain. I have not run it since before the rain. So besides kicking myself for being an idiot, what actions can I take to avoid troubles? Drain fuel tank? If i do, what do i do with the contaminated fuel...

    Stability question

Welcome to forum. I'm in NH as well. It is very easy to tip a tractor on even relatively slight inclines. When I first got my L6060, I had 2 seat puckering experiences despite operating conservatively. Go slow, especially when turning. Keep pallet fork and loader loads as low as possible to...

    Diesel transfer tank

I am lucky enough to have a truck stop/fuel company (Evans Fuel) 2 miles away. Spoke with owner and he was kind enough to make exception for a low volume client. Estimating that I will only use about 300 gallons of off road diesel a year. I rented a large excavator this past summer to do...

    Diesel transfer tank

Thanks. 100 gal. "BetterBuilt" from Northern Tool. Approx $450 on sale. Not including pump and filters. TSC has similar tanks.

    Diesel transfer tank

Finally got around to reviewing my posts. Never uploaded pics of "finished" pallet/shed fuel tank. Designed to be as light as possible to be movable with forks. Thanks for all the tips and advice along the way. Have the solar panel and deep cycle battery and controller yet to install Wolfman. In...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Screened dirt with the L6060 loading the screener and the Kx033 taking care of the tailings and slash. Son helped so throughput was increased. Rain and t-storms in afternoon so was able to burn some slash piles. We are only allowed to burn between 5p to 5am with a permit unless it is raining or...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Rented soil screener and started working on slash piles. Very efficient at separating slash but slow. 5 day rental will not be enough for all my piles. What a dusty mess. Tractor covered with red dust inside and out, No water on site so she needs to sit like that until the next rain, poor...
