    BX Front mount Snowblower?

Mine is the same. I had hydraulic rotation on my JD - don't like this setup either, but its all we got, unless you spring $800 for hydraulics, or $400 for electric that sucks too. Some white spray grease around the base of the discharge chute will make it work easier. I'm still getting...

    Card board.

I think Eric is talking about a 1-ton pickup. I used to see some kind of radiator screens on tractor-trailers often years ago.

fuel additives yes or no ?

Wish I could! I have the 2 Stihl trimmers, 046 chainsaw, and the little guy MS-211 that I just bought used last year. We live in a very rural area. I can't get non-ethanol gas 'round these parts reasonable. A station 45 minutes away did advertise 93 octane that was ethanol-free, but...

    Too Cold Here

How cold did it get? Try a rubber mallet to see if its solid? I also remember calcium filled tires with frost on them, but it was very cold (well below 0?), and they were brought in the warm barn with 100 cows in it. They generate a lot of humidity. Same theory as the frosted glass...

    Card board.

Eric - Ironic you ask - I saw the first piece of cardboard in many years just this week. As several other guys said, while I don't see an issue with your truck in COLD weather - watch the temp gauge - I don't know the "normal" winter temp in Virginia warrants restricting air through the...

    BX Front mount Snowblower?

Did you use it yet????? Dying to hear if it met your expectations! I did driveway and probably half an acre of the lawn - only 4" or so. Some was necessary - rest was just playin'

fuel additives yes or no ?

I've used Power Service (white bottle) since I bought the tractor in April. After my run-ins with ethanol gasoline over the last couple years, I'm more apt to use an additive. My old (22 years) Stihl FS-86 trimmer was killed by ethanol. After tearing carb down, used Seafoam. Ran for a month...

Shear bolts. The watch was free with a $25 purchase. (Not really)

    BX Front mount Snowblower?

By the looks of some other threads, get yourself some shear bolts, just in case. It should come with a set of 3 (2 soft (silver) ones for the auger, and 1 harder (gold) for the fan). I've used mine ~1 hour on a stone driveway, lawn, etc., without an issue, but some guys are going through...

    BX Front mount Snowblower?

Good for you! It does suck they don't shafts. That's a time you want to "get the shaft!" Here in Upstate NY they are talking 3-10", depending on where you are. But at least we are not the snowbelt downwind of Lake Ontario. They've gotten 3 or 4 feet the last couple days. We just had a...

    BX Front mount Snowblower?

I did check clearance of the fan to housing - 1/4" My driveway is stone. I've skinned up the paint inside the housing just a little already, but that happens. Used the 47" JD snowblower for 12 or 13 years. The old unit had hydraulic chute rotation, but this one is manual. Miss that already...

    BX Front mount Snowblower?

Don't know the clearance of the fan to the housing. But, I have used it twice so far in 3" of real heavy wet snow - no problems at all. I liked the shoes on the JD unit much better than the Kubota blower.

    Welders???

Thanks - I will keep that in mind! Good deal and great size for small operation like mine. Just 70 days 'til taps go out!! Sap hauler will be orange next season!!

    Welders???

I know Unionman asked the question, but man, did I learn a lot. An hour ago I was looking at a Hobart Handler at TSC. I haven't welded since my family's dairy farm days, many years ago - typical Lincoln arc machine. I've had a few fab ideas for my BX, but what I've REALLY been stewing on is a...

    BX Front mount Snowblower?

I just bought a 2750D with my BX2360 this spring. I haven't used it yet, but its on the tractor now. I had a JD 425 garden tractor for years. Had a 47in 2-stage blower, blade, etc. I really like the JD blower and set up better, but again, haven't used this one yet. I wanted the blower since...

Auxiliary Power for Work Lights - BX

Nice!! Will serve you well. I'm thinking I can put LED on later, and the way my brackets are, I can add 1 more forward and back if needed.

Auxiliary Power for Work Lights - BX

Hokie - What is the mount for the lights? Looks real clean and compact, with a place to run wire. The difference is I'm NOT hoping for snow! I'm OK if we just skip it, but where we are, its bound to happen. We aren't near the "snow belt" east of Lake Ontario, but sometimes lake effect...

Auxiliary Power for Work Lights - BX

Hokie - thanks - got them from my local hardware store while back. Pretty heavy 2-link, fit great. I saw your lights, and really like the outcome! Nice job!

    John Deere landscape rake

Dayum!!!!! Being in upstate New York, I wish the Mrs. would say "You'll get cold running the tractor with the snowblower." Hasn't happened so far.......... A little Green won't hurt (and it should fit).

Auxiliary Power for Work Lights - BX

Guys - Figured out a way to shed some water off the top of the switch. Won't be water tight, but its 12v. Its a rubber adapter for a dishwasher fitting ($2 at Lowes). Used the pipe clamps for something else, and had to slit both connections so they fit. All tied with zip-ties, just...
