It dies when I engage the mower dek and the hydrostatic drive. As soon as the levers are moved to engage it dies. It matters not what pto I try to activate , the only thing I have attached is the deck , but I have moved the selector lever to other positions and it does the same. Thanks

High or low rpm , doesn't have any bearing on the activation of the pto being engaged and stalling the engine. Can a dirty hydrolic oil filter cause this or low oil? Tony

My BX2230 engine idles fine , yet when I engage the pto the engine shakes aggresively, blows black smoke and then dies. I have changed both fuel filters and the air filter. I am at a loss as to what to do next. Can a low hydrolic fluid level cause this or maybe a dirty filter? Thanks Any and...
