B26 PTO Stuck, shaft will not turn, lever will not move to engage PTO.

OK - finally got around to messing with this again. And, good news. I forced the PTO engagement lever a bunch of times and it would not give at all. Then yesterday when really forcing it I felt a slight movement. Well, I kept working it and over 15 minutes it reluctantly started moving back...

B26 PTO Stuck, shaft will not turn, lever will not move to engage PTO.

Thanks for the information 100td - I was busy replacing the left pivot seal on top of the front axle and had the BH off. That's when I noticed the issue with the PTO shaft being stuck. After messing with the seal, I had some work to do with the BH so I put it back on. Now I have to take it off...

B26 PTO Stuck, shaft will not turn, lever will not move to engage PTO.

I bought a used B26 a year ago and was considering a brush hog. So today I tried the PTO and the lever to engage the rotation of the PTO moved back and forth and did not do a thing. I happened to have the Hoe off and looked at the linkage under the seat. The linkage for the PTO lever was not...

    Stupid brake adjusting nut!! B26

OK, took the push rod link to the LH brake off of the pedal and brake lever, looked close and there was a nut only on one end of the barrel nut. When I tried looking at it when it was attached I thought there was a nut on each end of it. I am the nut. About killed myself trying to loosen a nut...

    Stupid brake adjusting nut!! B26

I noticed when I was braking today that my right rear tire just locked and kept on going when going down my chip and tar (loose pea gravel in places) driveway with an 11 degree angle. Actually couldn't stop for a time downhill. So, check the forum posts and find a nice diagram that shows where...

    Chaining a B26 on 18' Trailer

OP here. Thanks a lot for the information. The drawing is especially good using two 20' chains to do the job. I do have the TLB and fortunately I have two smaller chains and smaller lever binders that I will use to hold down the buckets front and back. After reading these posts, I went out and...

    Chaining a B26 on 18' Trailer

I saw something on this but I'll be danged if I can find it now on the forum. Just picked up the 18' trailer and got 2 - 20' chains. Can I cut the chains in half and will they be long enough? Seems that one chain longer than the trailer itself can be cut in half and be long enough to connect at...

    HST Shifter not aligned with L M N H

Hokie - no welds, just the levers on the push rods. Dealer thought it was forced into gear at one point and bent. He said to unbend it. Thanks for the pic. Took till today for it to come in on my computer. I will see how I can torque it to get it back to the original position without busting...

    HST Shifter not aligned with L M N H

Sheepfarmer - I never thought about the fender moving. I'll check that out tomorrow. Moving the plastic indicator mounted on the fender is a possibility but there would have to be two new holes in the fender. Maybe a possibility but I looks like it is mounted where it is supposed to be. The...

    HST Shifter not aligned with L M N H

Hokie - thanks for the reply. The shifter is in neutral in the pic. The shift lever is welded to the shaft below that goes directly into the trannie. H, M, N and L shift into gear correctly. However, for any gear or neutral, the shift lever is half way between where it should be on the letters.

    HST Shifter not aligned with L M N H

Just picked up a used 2007 B26 and working it pretty good on our rocky 10 acres full of unwanted mountain juniper here in TX. The shifter does not align with the position marks on the indicator on the fender. I am not concerned because it works fine. Could it be a problem? But, is there a way...
