    B7000 hand throttle doesn't stay in position

    That spring is to set the idle, not the tension at the throttle. When you push the throttle, it will kill the engine, and then it just backs to idle position.

    I have a homemade brush hog for my B7000 , i think the tractors are almost the same, if you want pics to help somehow, just ask.
