    Estwing Tools

I bought it for the 5th wheel, so weight & bulk were a major factor in sizing. It is a little light compared to a full size axe, and the edge seems to be decent. Not as good as a competition axe by any means, but probably better than a True Temper or like axes. For chopping around the 5th wheel...

    Estwing Tools

I've heard from some pro framers that they don't like them because the handle transmits too much shock/vibration to the user- I've never found that to be the case, but I'm no pro, either.

    Estwing Tools

CaveCreekRay & RCW mentioned Estwing hammers in the Cast Iron Thread. I am a big fan of these tools. I had an uncle who was "Handyman to the Stars" and when I was about five, I was "helping" him pound nails in scrap lumber. I missed, and damaged his wood handle hammer. He was very understanding...

Glad it went no further than a case of pucker. I'm always amazed how pics never do the slope justice.

    Garage setup

When I was a wee one, my Dad had one of those retractable extension cords that self winds back onto a spool, mounted in the middle of the 2+ car garage. I was always impressed by that handy item, and swore I would have one some day. Well, I now have one for my garage up in the woods, just...

    Backhoe Dolly

Don't have any pics of it, but I helped the neighbor build a dolly for his box blade. We utilized several ideas as stated above. He had HF dollies and we connected them with angle iron from an old bedframe. Kind of a cross between Repair's, Lencho's, & bearskinner's.

    Orange site question

All threads, or just some? Sometimes folks post really huge pictures, and that requires scrolling back & forth. Only fix for that is for the poster to resize their pics.
