Timing Fuel Injection Pump 2010 L3940

Well one definitely did turn, soooooo, were it you, how would you proceed? Is it more cost effective to get a new pump, or fix what's going on with what I have? Tractor has close to 1000 hours in it.

Timing Fuel Injection Pump 2010 L3940

Just to be clear, as I think was incorrect in my nomenclature, I cracked the red fittings below and inadvertently spun the yellow fittings.

Timing Fuel Injection Pump 2010 L3940

No not at all, I'm happy to have answers to questions that I've had in my head for 4-5 years. In the not so strong defense of the tech at Pinnacle View Kubota in Walpole NH, he did say the pump needed to be removed and rebuilt to fully fix the problem. He also said that that would cost 3K+ to to...

Timing Fuel Injection Pump 2010 L3940

From what I recall, as I tried to open the nut holding the fuel line, the part below (injector?) spun a bit until I held it with a second wrench. That's why when the service manager said he spun it back until he got the best power figure it made sense to me. Sorry I'm a bit vague, but this was...

Timing Fuel Injection Pump 2010 L3940

A few years back I was having a great deal of difficulty purging the air out of the fuel line to get restarted after a service. After killing the battery, I went on YouTube to troubleshoot and found out about cracking an injector to let the air out the top of the system. Upon doing so , tractor...

I "hit the solution" thanks to the tech at my dealer, one of the safety switches needed to be open and not jumpered.

L3940 HST Seat Safety Switches with a Twist

If it weren't so true I might take offense to this comment.😂 But answering genuine questions is often nice too!

L3940 HST Seat Safety Switches with a Twist

Thanks, that will be helpful if it is one of the other switches, but since I have cut out the 2 seat switches it will be no good in helping with a cracked wire etc. related to those two, which given the condition, I think where the trouble lies. If I cant get it going today though, I am going to...

L3940 HST Seat Safety Switches with a Twist

This is a 2010 model, quite some time ago I was having issues with the plunger seat safety switch and then the internal one (in the cushion). From what I recall, I put a jumper in both. Yesterday, about 5 miles from home and deep in the woods, it started exhibiting the same issue as when I...

FEL Stuck Down: Need to Raise Manually to Load On Trailer

I was able to disconnect the hydraulics and bleed the pressure off of them, when I reconnected I was able to inch the bucket up, I propped it up on the trailer headboard to keep it there till I offloaded at the dealer. All will be well again this week. Thanks for the suggestions all.

FEL Stuck Down: Need to Raise Manually to Load On Trailer

It hasn't been cold enough for that. When the bucket is disconnected and jacked up, what's a safe place to hook it to considering I'll have to drive it on/off here and at my dealer? Did all of that, see original post.

FEL Stuck Down: Need to Raise Manually to Load On Trailer

Sorry....2011 L3940, the lever will now not go into any position, so no float. It would creep up if I found a sweet spot on the lever when I last parked it and would drop when put in the float mode, but after unloading 2 sheets of 1/4" steel plate from a delivery truck, the lever is now all...

FEL Stuck Down: Need to Raise Manually to Load On Trailer

I was having issues with downward tilt of the bucket, I tried all of the obvious to fix, disconnected all fittings, checked lockout, lowered 3 point hitch (Kubota tech's suggestion). Nothing worked, I took the cover panel off to make sure there was nothing interfering with mechanical linkage...

    L3940 Won't Start

That was it, a jump from the F250 and all was well. I am going to clean and check all battery/ground connections, but after 6 years the battery might have given up the ghost.

    L3940 Won't Start

Hey Ladies & Gents, I have a staring issue with my L3940, 6 years old, 800 hours. I finished bush hogging a field, tough stuff, heavy grass slowed the tractor right down to a crawl many times. Shut it off, went to restart 2 hours later, the dash lights would flicker erratically on and off and...
