massive thanks for your thoughts. I don't think there is any safety switch, mainly because I can’t think what it would control ? As far as I can see the only thing that stops the engine is the solenoid?

Thanks unfortunately our mini digger doesn’t have any lever, any other suggestions?

Amazing thanks very much for the advice, not sure where the lock lever is but will check, our digger is a B10-30 I have literally changed everything trying to find out what the problem is ! thanks again Reg Berry Oxford
