Changed the fluids in both gear boxes on the snow blower yesterday. You can tell which side is used the hardest. The oil in the auger gearbox was definitely used harder and seemed to be slightly milky, probably from being jammed into the snow the whole time it's in use. The oil in the gearbox on the backside of the blower looked like it just came out of the bottle.
I also greased all of the zerks on the blower and subframe so it's ready to go whenever needed. I hate to crawl around on the cold floor greasing this stuff at the last minute before a storm hits.
