I have a BK23 tractor.
Lately, it won't start unless I shuffle the range gear shift lever or the PTO clutch level around a few times. I know it needs to be neutral with the PTO (mower) disengaged to start. Both of those are in the correct positions - but it won't start until I move one or both of those back and forth a few times.
When I say "won't start" - I mean that I turn the key all the way to the start position, and it doesn't even attempt to start the engine. It just keeps clicking the way it does when I hold the key in the first position for a few seconds.
It happens mostly when the tractor is hot, but it has happened a few times when it was a cold start.
I disengage the PTO and put it in neutral before turning it off, and the function of the tractor before turning it off appears to indicate that both of them are in the correct position.
Any suggestions for what the problem(s) could be?
