Why does my L3800 quit every time it warms up ?

L3899 starts with no problem. After 2 to 3 minutes it stops. Seat safety switch is fine. Fuel cap is fine. Fuel flow and filter is fine.
When it stops it restarts and run 2 to 5 seconds and stops. If I wait 10 minutes it starts and runs for 2 to 3 minutes. Selenoid tests positive.
Strangely, when I push my hazard flashers the cold-to-hot needle flutters towards 'H'

Slowly bogging down or sudden?
Any smoke when it does it?

Remove the stop solenoid and run the tractor and see if it does the same thing.
You can put a piece of tape over the hole, to keep debris out.
Shutdown the engine manually with the lever just above the stop solenoid.

All the neighborhood says there is a short sending message that the tractor is overheating.

Based on you saying the hazards make the fuel gauge move. You might have a short in the wiring harness. Check for rodent damage

Your neighborhood is filled with... Hummmm... I'll be nice and just say they ain't Kubota mechanics.
Because your Kubota does not have anything that would make the engine shut down from overheating.
Well unless you call seizing up from overheating a "message".

And one more time for the cheap seats.

I know you're saying the solenoid is fine, and I don't care about it per say.
Pull the solenoid and run it and see if your problem disappears.
There is mutiple reasons why the solenoid would be getting triggered to shut it down.
Could be a bad ground connection for all the components and devices under the dash.

Could be a bad ground connection for all the componets and devices under the dash.

Is there any system that will shut the tractor down if it gets too hot? The OP has mentioned that twice in his posts but I didn’t think Kubota had that.

NOPE not on a Kubota that old.

The only telltale of overheating would be the coolant temperature gauge, or, as @North Idaho Wolfman stated, it seized. I guess it could also burst into flames, but that would be reaching...
