On an L3301 how long should the lift pump operate after shutting the engine off with the key? Is it different with a non-oem pump? Or is there a timer or some kind of relay that continues to operate the pump for a pre-set amount of time? Apologies for asking questions for which answers are probably in the forums but my search was unproductive.

I have never timed one, but probably 5 to 10 seconds. The ECU runs it to purge the system for some reason.
