So for my anniversary I decided to take the better half out to dinner.
So we are sitting down eating our hotdogs at Costco and an employee sits beside us. We strike up a conversation and it turns to inflation and prices.
He says he just unloaded a trailer and this was their last shipment of oil around the $30/gal mark. Next delivery was going to raise prices to $55. Talking about motor type oils.
We are good here as we already bought most of our oil in bulk when our fall fuel arrived.
That's a big jump. Guess we should have seen this coming as well as crude and gas in the rise so oil for engine/hydraulic sure to follow suit.
Ouch.

I don't know if I'd be worried about the price of oil when the wife is probably going to take half your money after an anniversary dinner at Costco. :ROFLMAO:

There has been some talk on another forum I belong to about supply constraints for the base products used to make most motor oils. The person who started the thread owns a petroleum distribution company and he provided a lot of perspective in to what’s happening being the scenes due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

Every time I drive past a Walmart, I stop to see what’s in stock. I grab 3 or 4 5 quart jugs of the oil I use in my cars, ATVs, and other machiner (5w-30 ESP, 0w-40 FS, 5w-40 DELVAC).

The Mobil 1 products I use have gone up by about $4 per 5 quart jug. Some are not being stocked anymore. I suspect there may be more price increases coming.
