So I want a Land Pride GS1560 for my tractor and the local dealer did not have one but they could order one for me for $2500. So I called a dealer about 40 miles away and he says they have 2 and they are $2400. I called a 3rd one and they have one for $1895 plus tax. It pays to shop around.

It's been my experience that some charge shipping if they aren't already on the lot.

I bet the cheapest one is because it’s LAST YEAR’s MODEL…!!

Cheaper priced ones are probably due to
A) already in stock and came in on a stock order
B) older production ones before the multiple price increases and cheaper trucking.
C) one the dealer had to order in has all the production price increases and more expensive trucking due to higher fuel prices

Nice Land Plane!!!

Lots of harvesting going on right now, so that tire might be lower on the "priority list".

Many of the auto shops I worked for had similar problems. Not enough of the the "new mechanics" around to do tires, and it's tough to pull the "experienced guys" off a high dollar job to fix a tire.

Not saying it's right/fair/nice, but I have seen it before.

Better to find a tire shop that does tractor and industrial equipment tires than most dealers nowadays. Most dealers don’t really do tire repair anymore.

to fix a tire .... 5 minutes if a plug is used, 12 minutes to replace entire tire on rim with new one.
