Hello All

I have a Kubota ZG327 zero turn. I believe it is a 2009, and this season everything has stated needing to be replaced or rebuilt. I was having stalling issues after 10 minutes or so, backfiring sometimes when shutting it down and once it leaked all it's fuel all over my shed after shutting it off over the course of a few days. It's also been running richer and burning more fuel than usual. I decided to pull the carburetor clean, inspect and replace any bad seals or o-rings. I also adjusted the valves which were all tight to proper spec. After reinstalling the carburetor the machine starts right up like it should but goes right to wide open throttle and the gov never engages. I did not remove any parts from it off the mower, I however loosen the bolt on the arm to see if I could lift the lever up and off the shaft in order for the carb bolts to clear while trying to get it back in. It does not come off so I did not force anything and just put it back the way it was or at least I thought I did. I have experience doing this kind of maintenance on smaller mowers, as well as ATV's and motorcycles. !st time I have dealt with a zero turn with this kind of set up.

Any help is appreciated.

Sounds like you either messed up the carb rebuild or you incorrectly connected the governor linkage back up.

You need to adjust your governor linkage.

THANK YOU!

I have this a shot thinking it’s not going to work because of the absolute tiny amount of adjustment in the governor shaft but it did and it’s been running pretty damn good.

Now I can sleep at night without this being on my mind 24/7. Now I get to mow 5 acres, what a prize.

Thanks again.
