Is a land plane effective on packed gravel? Wondering about getting one to deal with weeds on gravel drive/lot at our farm so I don't need to spray as much. The lot has larger farm equipment and semi trucks on it when our renters are planting & harvesting times so it's definitely stays packed/stable. Gravel size is typical road rock. Thanks.

Mine is very good at packed gravel. You do have the ability to adjust the depth of the blades. I've only used the spec settings. The only time I use scarifiers is to clear potholes. In that case, I don't always use all of them. I use only one for potholes usually.

A day or so after a good 1" rain will do wonders ...

Mine wouldn't uproot the weeds, there roots were too long, (3"-4") it just kinda gave them a haircut!

The late farmer across the road dragged a heavy bar and old chains up and down his 700' driveway and around and around the 'parking lot'. Simple ,cheap, effective. I did same on a smaller scale for 15 years,
