I'm working on this (old) Kubota lawn/garden tractor. I'm a retired mechanic, and I've always loved Kubota stuff. One of the places where I worked had a Kubota with a loader, and I really was impressed with it.
Anyway, the decals on the hood are mostly gone, and I don't see any model numbers anywhere. The hood has the remains of what look like HST on it -
It has a single cylinder vertical shaft engine on it, with a belt drive to a hydrostatic transmission. (I'm assuming that's what the HST is)
Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone can point me toward a wiring diagram for this tractor. What's there is in pretty bad shape! I'm used to patching up wiring, but I'd like to have some direction- Any info would be appreciated

Thanks, Steve sdodder@gmail.com

There is a PDF for a T1400H at this site.

Your title is for a T1400K but your equipment list is for a T1400H, and I have no idea what the difference between the two might be.

WOW- thanks for the quick replies! You're both correct- evidently I got the model # wrong. I see a couple of pics that DO look like my tractor, so I think I can figure it out. This site is going to be a GREAT resource!

Thanks again, Steve

Sounds like a nice little project, especially coming from someone who already has experience with Kubota equipment. The missing decals definitely make identifying the exact model a bit tricky, but there may be some other markings on the frame, transmission, or engine that can narrow it down. The HST marking does sound like it refers to the hydrostatic transmission. Once you have the model or serial number, finding the correct wiring diagram should be much easier. Hopefully someone familiar with these older garden tractors can recognize it from the description and point you toward the right manual.

Good morning- I AM enjoying it! I've always enjoyed bringing old stuff back to life- This "project" is a little harder because the machine is so old and rare (at least around here). The mowing deck has a bunch of parts missing, and I can't find anyone who can get them for me- So right now, I've got a nice little tractor that I can't USE for anything! It's been fun working on it, and that's about it- If anyone has any clues to a source for mower deck parts for this machine, I'd love to hear about it-
Thanks, Steve
