Yesterday, I got out with Katy to spread out the 3' pile of ashes and dirt, getting ready for the next burn if we ever get any rain. Near the bottom were some embers which started smoking, and then a couple had visible flames. This is from burning 3 weeks ago.

Then we carried a few grapple loads, but left them outside the clear area. I don't want any risk of starting another fire until we get some rain.

about 12 cu yds of dirt / compost into a flower bed. I'm tired. And I didn't tear up the fence or the landscape wall that I built a couple days earlier.

I used the L3901DT yesterday to move my transfer tank to the garage so I could rebuild the skid that I made for it. As you can see the wood is just a little rotten. I wasn't going to store it outside when I first built it, so I just used the lumber I had. I ended up storing the tank outside.



I used some treated 2"x6" lumber this time. For some reason in the picture it doesn't look treated?



When I got done mounting the tank back on the skid, I used the pressure washer to clean the tank, it was starting to look a little green.

I gave the hydrulic top link it's first use today with the rear finish mower. A lot quicker to hook up and a lot easier to clean by lifting the rear of the mower up.

I'm kicking myself that I went a year without one.

I just put one on the L3901DT and was surprised that it help as much as it does even with a quick hitch connecting 3pt attachments.

Put the BH-77 on the L3901DT to do a little digging I needed to do for the lean-to I'm adding to out small poll barn and to remove a stump of a tree i just fell. It took a little while (about an 30 minutes) to get it out, but it finally gave up.

Continued work on road build to future well site. Weather was perfect. 70's with a breeze and sun. Needed water to keep dust down from plate compactor. Only water available was in a drainage ditch puddle. Used mini-ex bucket to scoop water into tractor bucket, then a watering can filled by hand from tractor. Just a light watering over dried sand made all the difference. Compacts more efficiently when wet. Laid down geotextile and got two loads of 3 inch dense grade down before quarry closed. Will resume hauling stone Monday. Dug a sump pit for well tailings and called it a day. Will resume laying down rest of geotextile today. Appreciate the help of my son. Exponentially faster with 2 instead of solo.

I had one on my LX3310 and never took it off. It's a great investment and time saver in my opinion. Im looking forward to trying out the side link with the rear blade and land plane.

I would like to get a side link, but I don't think the finance committee would okay it Would make working on the driveway and private road a little easier, but the top link helps a lot.

I had an interesting experience yesterday. About a week ago I saw my neighbor's Husqvarna riding mower stranded on his lawn with an obvious broken rear axle. In Friday's local Front Porch Forum I saw that he put in an ad to sell it for $300. Yesterday I was working in the door yard on my One-Ton fixing some rust spots like this





Not great body work but good enough.




Anyway as I was working a miniature truck pulled in - It looked like a Gator on steroids but with smaller tires. The guy asked if I was the one with a mower for sale. I said no and told where he went wrong. As he turned around and I looked at the truck I wondered if the mower would even fit in it and if it did how they were going to load it. Sure enough a little while later Joe, my neighbor, comes in and says he needs a favor. I went down with the M5640 and a couple 4' and 6' cargo straps along with one 9'er. Used all of them to make two slings. One under the transmission and one under the front frame. They looped onto the grapple tines. The side panel on the truck folded down and I loaded the mower from the side. The tires were on the bed, just barely, but he couldn't close the side panel because the deck stuck out. I asked about the thruck - A Honda Acty. Imported from Japan, 600 cc engine, 4WD. and not legal to import unless 25 or more years old beause of US emission laws. But once here about 25 states allow them to be registered and used on the road. Never saw one before - Photo I found on line

Don't know about emission standards, but if you're serious about owning one be sure you can fit into the cab. I was interested in one a few years back. Had the seat all the way back and when I put my butt in the seat I could not get my knees under the steering wheel. Then the steering wheel is on the wrong side.
