My ZG327 has developed a ticking sound. Is it possible the valves just need adjusting or is it something worse? It’s a 2007 model with 450 hours. I recently changed the oil and that the advice of the Dealer I used to 10W-30. I had been using 10W-40. The oil level is fine. The ticking sound is slightly worse with the new oil. Link is to a short video with the ticking sound. I wouldn’t really appreciate any insight any experts might have.

Hello out there. I haven’t seen any responses to my question. Maybe I didn’t ask you the right one or committed to some other forum impoliteness, I’m really sure. Anyway, I would really appreciate it with someone knowledgeable could give a quick listen to that video and tell me if they hear anything concerning.. Many thanks in advance if you’re willing to take the time.

With the engine running, remove the plug wires from the spark plugs one at a time. See if there is a difference between having the #1 wire off and having the #2 wire removed.
Use insulated pliers to remove the wires.

Honestly, I can’t hear the ticking.

I have no knowledge of that motor, but are you able to remove the valve cover and check the “valve lash” or inspect for some sort of other “anomaly”?
