Replaced the water pump 223 hrs ago which lasted 3 years. What a typical lifespan of a water pump. I am always picky at keeping the radiator blowed out an always checking fluids. When I was mowing with it today I smelt a antifreeze smell. I stopped an check an it is leaking slowly out the weep hole on the water pump. I bought the pump from the kubota dealer. I figure there not gonna back there part. I figure it only has a 1 yr warranty. Im gonna call in the morning an get another one ordered.

Leaks like that are usually caused by water/coolant contamination issues or belt is too too tight.

After looking at it you might be on to something I think I might have had the belt to tight cause I have some real fine rubber like dust on the alternator. Last t ome I changed it I replaced all the hoses an thermostat an belt an put all new antifreeze in it.
