Please describe the bog down situation.

Do the above 1000 RPMs hold steady without any load? Or does it act like it is running out of fuel under no load?

Can the tractor sustain any load on the engine for a few minutes or does it just run down in RPMs?

Will it stay running or does it bog down and die like it had the fuel turned off?

Have you checked that the fuel petcock is fully open?

Is there a full flow of fuel after the fuel filter into the injection pump?

Did you use low pressure air to blow the fuel lines out and backwards into the fuel tank (have cap loose but not off, lay a rag over the cap.)

Acts like it’s running out of fuel with no load
Will not sustain any load
There is full fuel flow after the filter
I haven’t pushed air back into the tank yet will do that next but seem to have plenty of fuel available after the filter
The peacock is open and clear

No need to blow back into the fuel tank if you have robust flow after the filter. It won’t hurt anything but probably won’t resolve the issue.

But all of your symptoms point to a fuel delivery problem. The least expensive thing to try is to replace the rubber fuel lines to eliminate them as any issue. There have been reports of them collapsing but I don’t know that is your problem.

If you have the Work Shop Manual (WSM) that will have good troubleshooting steps. You might find it here.

I guess you can do an injector spray test to see if enough fuel is being injected into the cylinders. But you can also just have them rebuilt, replace them with new if you want to start firing the parts cannon off on it.

(and I am assuming your tractor is a mechanical fuel injector pump not a newer style high pressure rail type)

How much fuel flow do you have from the fuel lift pump?
A full flow to the lift pump does nothing if the lift pump has/is weak or failing.

Thanks for your reply and suggestions, I have been away for a couple of days and will get back to working on it tomorrow or Wed. Iam not sure where the fuel lift pump is will have to find it, this is a 2004 model year unit.

It's not hard to find, as the outlet fuel hose from the fuel filter connects to its inlet fitting.
