I took the FEL control valve off of the tractor so I could get to the hose connectors on top to tighten them. Good news-no more leaks at the connectors. Bad news is I have a giant leak at the back of the valve body now, next to where the cables connect. At first I thought it was the cable connection and replaced the O-rings. It didn't fix it, and looking closer now I believe it's coming from the "shutoff plug" that is next to it. Has anyone had this happen, or is it common? It doesn't seem like a part that would wear out but the tractor is probably close to 30 years old now. It also seems odd that it showed up now, even though I never touched that part while I was working on the other parts. Maybe it was there all along and I hadn't noticed it, but I doubt that, it's a pretty big leak. Any help is appreciated.

I am having a hard time with that picture. Clean the ugly oil off that plug so we can see it better. I am guessing its a socket head SAE port plug. Where did you get the term "shutoff plug"?
Thats a sectional valve. Did you remove or loosen any of the tie rod nuts?

Thats a self-loosening port plug. No owner action required
At a minimum retighten it.

Sorry about the photo quality. I had to take a screenshot from a paused video (that I couldn't get to post). I also couldn't get a good angle while it was attached to the tractor. That's what it was called in one of the diagrams from Kubota. The problem I am having is that none of the diagrams look like my control valve assembly. I went to a dealer and they said the part is discontinued, and they couldn't locate one. They told me to put some teflon tape on it and retighten it. We will see if that works I guess. I never touched the tie rod nuts.
There was no O-ring when I took it off. There was a rubber gasket attached to the plug. None of the diagrams look like the part on my tractor either, so I'm guessing at part numbers. I went to a dealer and they couldn't find the part in stock anywhere because it's been discontinued. I'm gonna try some teflon tape and see if it works.

You do not use Teflon tape on that part!

OK, the leak seems to be fixed. I skipped the teflon tape and just put on all the ft/lbs I could on the plug. I'm still going to try to find that part somewhere. Now that it's back together, the 3-point arms won't raise. I'm sure there's some air in the system. What is the best way to get rid of that? Thanks again for the help.
It looked kind of like that. The gasket was "built in" to the plug, but it did not tighten with that type of wrench
My guess is ordinary everyday port plug. About $2,50 at a hydraulic supply. Take the plug to them and ask for a replacement although I doubt its needed.
Air in the system will not stop the 3pt from raising. Your plumbing is likely crossed up. Check any quick coupler connections between the loader and tractor - make sure they are solidly latched. Is the loader working at full speed and power?

Be sure to get the sealing gasket with the plug. It may be included or you may have to get two parts.
They come in a variety of drive types and are not expensive. Your local hydraulic supply store can match it up
