BH92 backhoe hydraulic connections with existing 3rd function, on my L4060

I’m new to the forum and need some help.
I recently bought a 2019 L4060hst with a front loader and a 3rd function installed.
I am having trouble figuring out how to plumb the hydraulic lines for the backhoe. Any/all help is greatly appreciated!

There should be a couple of hoses connected together making a complete loop. One hose will have a male end and the other will be female so it is possible for them to be connected.

The backhoe should have connection points to match the hoses and supply flow to and from the backhoe valve.

I am assuming that the backhoe was already installed on the tractor before and you are not adding it as “new”.

Yes, the backhoe was on a different model Kubota.
My used Kubota L4060 has a 3rd function added to it. It looks to me like the 3rd function hydraulics connect below the driver seat. I was wondering if I can add a couple of tees to those lines to use as the hydraulic feed and return for the hoe. That would be before the solenoid that activates the 3rd function.
What do you think??

No. You supply ths backhoe from the pressure return port on the third function valve. Post a picture of the third function valve connections so we know what you currently have.

I am adding it as a new installation on the tractor. I’m installing the hoe subframe and the mounting brackets, as well as the hydraulics for operating the hoe.

I wish I could answer that question.

After looking at the WSM for the Grand L 60's it appears the rear remotes are fed by that 3rd function. I dont see any way to connect after them.

A BH92 installation guide seems to be where we will find the answer and I dont have one. Perhaps @whitetiger can illuminate us.

Hello, I was wondering if you were ever able to get this figured out. I have the same problem but in reverse. I purchased the Kubota with the backhoe installed but when I went to add the third function attachment I found the backhoe hydraulic hoses were attached where the directions where stating to attach the 3rd function lines. Any pointers?

I provided this information earlier in this thread but here it is for your convenience.
  1. Disconnect the backhoe supply hose at the loader valve.
  2. Run a new hose from the loader valve to P port on third function.
  3. Connect backhoe supply hose to T port on third function.
SImple as that. You may need to replace the backhoe supply hose with a different length

I think you just need to remove the back hoe connections install the 3rd function valve in place of the backhoe, then install the backhoe lines to the third function valve instead of their current connection point.

I think that means the third function power in port would be connected to the power beyond of the FEL valve, then the power out (tank) of the third function connects to the backhoe power in port, then backhoe power out (T) port connects back to the tractor IN port.

The backhoe valve lines need to be able to connect together when you remove the backhoe so the fluid can continue to circulate through all lines and get back to the tractor.

And some of this piping may be internal to the tractor.

@TheOldHokie will probably chime in with more exact information.
