Power steering gearbox Kubota L2404DT

Hello everyone,

My name is Richard, and I'm from the Netherlands. I just joined the forum, so I thought I'd introduce myself.

I'm currently restoring a Kubota L2404DT and I'm looking for a power steering gearbox. The gearbox is marked "Toyoda" (with a 'D'), and I've attached some photos below.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find this specific type of steering gearbox anywhere online. The one currently installed on my tractor is completely damaged internally and can't be repaired.

Does anyone know where I might be able to find one, or if there is a compatible replacement that would fit? Any advice, information, or leads would be greatly appreciated.

Try this salvage yard in California, USA. Time difference between you and them may be difficult to make a call but you can converse with @007kubotaguy on this forum since he is involved with that company. I don’t have any other contact information for them but they should have some website (I don’t know for sure though).

ToyoDa …(with a “D”)…is the ORIGINAL FAMILY-NAME…which made TEXTILES…..and only later became an automotive mfr’r.

In a “twist” of our Orange Tractors….. NIssan famously actually acquired a Kubota design engineer…. an American named Gorham…who also renounced his U.S. citizenship as WW2 approached and became a Japanese citizen.
(After the war he was not prosecuted by the U.S. as he had done it before the war started. His sons remained in the U.S. and became translators for the U.S. military.)
