I recently bought a set of Pat's easy change QH for my B2301. So far I'm real happy with it. Yesterday I picked up a used B5320 ballast box, got home and found out that the lower holes in it are only 3/4" instead of 7/8" like all of my other attachments. I went ahead and attached it with some other 3/4" top link pins I have and it goes on fine but the back end of the Pat's is a bit tight against the wall of the box. I am debating about whether I should grind a bit of material from the pat's or maybe just dimple the wall of the box or just let it wear in a bit. I think it only needs about 1/16" or 1/8" to make it clear.

I don't think the 3/4" pins are going to be a problem with the locks on the Pat's.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

If it was me I would try filing the inside edge of the holes for the lower pins to move the pins further from the box.

Thanks. I have thought of that too. I'll take a closer look at that today. I have some 1/4" plate that I can use to weld onto the existing tabs and drill new holes if need be.
