Howdy All,
New to the OTT Forum and tried to dig through all of threads here and a few searches but came up nil.
Was wondering if any of you have tried rebuilding an Instrument Cluster and if so where did you get your parts.
looking to try and find the LCD replacement for M5040DT (US) it has a 27 pin interface/socket that you can just plug a new one in. No soldering surprisingly. I am quite handy fixing circuits and soldering so this seemed to be the most economical way of fixing it other than paying the $1200US for a new cluster. Id' much rather spend that money toward an implement than to try to see my hour meter and PTO RPM.
Anywho, any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
B

You can repaired the lcd screen on the instrument cluster. Remove the lcd by using a small flathead screwdriver. Take a box blade and insert under the corner to lift up the polarizing film on both front and back of lcd. Order a polarizing film from Amazon for around $14. Cut film to size and make sure to remove cover and put sticky side on lcd on both sides. Smooth out air bubbles if any with a credit card. Reinsert lcd taking care not to bend pins. This with fix the issue instead of buying a new cluster for $1400 from Kubota parts.
