So there I am, with one of my grandsons for the afternoon.

I decide that we need to "change the oil and rotate the tires" on the truck.

So I “do the dance” to start getting the truck ready.

I take a deep breath,…….grunt (as I slowly let air out of my lungs through my “pursed" lips),…... then “gingerly" kneel down next to the hoist, letting out various “sounds and grimaces” ……then start explaining to him things like:

What is the “frame” of a vehicle….

How/what/where the hoist pads need to be positioned….blah…blah…blah….

Now mind you, I am doing this “from the side” of the truck….pointing to the various parts………….

When all of a sudden he literally “flops on his belly" and “low crawls” under the truck (his entire body) and starts “yanking and pulling” the hoist arms into place.

I think my jaw actaully hit the floor…..I’ve been working with hoists for the better part of 40 years and HAVE NEVER seen someone “sit up-right", under the truck, while adjusting the arms.

I just started laughing my ass off…...

He did a fine job of placing the arms properly, and after some instruction, was lifting the truck.

About 2 hours later, we were done, and he was covered from “head to toe” in grease and oil. LOL

I wish I had taken a picture of him, but I couldn’t reach my phone in that “compromised position”.

But here he is “rotating the tires”….(I did the actual “lifting” and “moving” of the tire/wheels), but he did a good job of working the impact.

Warms my heart to see that! Nice to take a break from the video games.
