Not sure why I waited so long but I got a scissor lift and used it for the first time to do a tire rotation and oil change. My back is thanking me. Rated to 7000lbs IMG_6660.jpeg IMG_6659.jpeg

Inquiring minds need WAY MORE INFO!
Ordered it off Northern Tools it is a Katool 7000 lb scissor lift. I believe the height is 39” at full height. Great for doing brakes and any of the fluids. Center is clear to walk or work under. 120v/30A. You can permanently attach to the floor or attach wheels and move it (not easily) when not in use. Hydraulically operated and took almost 2 gal of fluid. Comes with a couple different size lifting blocks. The rams to get on lock in place and extend the lift by a foot on both ends. I have a Ridgeline and it lifted it with ease. Quite stable when up as well. It does have locks to hold the lift up and protect if a hose fails. There are no quick disconnects so once the pump is plumbed in, it stays connected unless you want to lose the fluid from the tank. Delivered it was 1300 lbs so no way to move it with my orange. Speaking of that the B1700 is wide enough to go on it. I may try that out tomorrow and do a quick blade service. It doesn’t come with a power cord but I had a few 10ga cables from old computer hardware that are 20’ long and have L5-30 plugs on them. I wired one in to the lift and then ran a 30A plug in the barn with a twist lock receptacle. Probably overkill but at today’s copper prices that would have been a couple hundred bucks. It usually takes me an hour to do an oil change and tire rotation with floor jacks and jack stands. Today it was 30 min and most of that was relocating tools from the garage to the barn and moving tractor implements around for more room. No sliding on the floor and dumping oil as I sloshed the pan.

I've seen them and it's on my list. I haven't seen them go that high though. I'd be weary about the height, but other htan that, great alternative to drilling the floor.

Congratulations sir!!!!!

I think you are going to be very happy with it.

Getting things up to a “decent working level” is a game changer for sure!!!!

Wow…..1300 lbs is quite the package. I don’t remember how much my hoist was, but I remember having to rent a “fork lift” to offload it….(Pre-tractor)

If I recall correctly, the ones I was looking at, had “wheel systems” so that they could be moved fairly easily????

Here is some "friendly advice”……..TELL NO ONE THAT YOU HAVE IT!!!!!! (hahahah all of “your friends” will be coming out of the wood work…. :ROFLMAO: ;) )

Congrats!!!!

I recently had my “wifes tractor” on mine to change the blades…..

Makes life a hell of a lot easier…..for sure.

Had to “tie off” the wheels to make sure it stayed in place.

A few more photos of the lift. It can be mounted to the floor if needed. I like being able to move it if needed and I wasn’t able to get any movement when shaking the truck. The center poles act like a cam. Raise it up around 8 inches and attach the wheels. When you lower it down it lifts the frame on the wheels. Pay no attention to my messy barn. It’s on the list after 289675 items the boss wants done. IMG_6668.jpeg IMG_6667.jpeg IMG_6666.jpeg

Two Hydraulic quick connects would be easy to add to that setup if you can figure the threads out, it would be a worthwhile addition.

I have a 10k two-post lift in the barn, the jack still comes out every now and then :ROFLMAO:

congratulations!

I worked under hundreds of hoists during my career and have yet to own one, hopefully in the near future.

in the meantime, I'll resign to being green with envy of yours. 😁
