Been using these for years. Great sound, work well with a ball cap and they won't break the bank.

I also use the WorkTunes with a ball cap.

Question, though, does your music seem to "turn down" when outside noises get louder? I swear mine do, not that I've looked into it, but just curious.

I use a set of Sony noise cancelling headphones, been very happy with them. I think model is WH1000, or close to that. Not cheap, but I have had for 4ish years, still work like new.

I use the ISOTunes FREE Aware model. I like them because when the noise is below 85dB the mic turns on to allow you to communicate and hear without yelling.

I use the the little foam ear plugs with mine ... I don't like them in my ears, but I also don't like it when my 18,000 fps blades kick in, sounds like an airplane!

Another job for the personnel basket. Trimmed about a dozen dead tree limbs near the houses that were a bit too high for the 16’ manual pole saw operated from the ground. Wife drove while I worked this time. She doesn’t operate the tractor much, but did well. Job got done and I’m still alive so it was a success. IMG_8026.jpeg IMG_8775.jpeg

Good call on the basket!

i delayed purchase of one for years but they are a game changer for tree trimming, shooting lanes, deer stand maintenance and installs, gutters, etc.

would you take some close ups of you cables on the SSQS levers? That looks slick and I am interested in what you did there.

My wife asked me if I could take a large Rose Bush out of one of our rock gardens today. It was getting too big and rough and woody for that place. Why. Yes. Yes I can.
IMG_7809.jpeg
Then I transplanted it out in the horse pasture where we can see it from our back porch! Bonus.

Why on earth are you wanting to sell that awesome tractor? 😂 That's a nice barn/shed too.

I shouldn’t sell it. But I shouldn’t own this expensive of a tractor either! LOL I bought it with the intention of flipping it, hoping to turn a decent profit on it. But, I also have plenty of work for it to do on my property. Either way works for me. That is our horse barn I built for my wife to have a nice place for her and our daughter’s horses. It was a fun project.

Looks like I need to buy new hearing protection to be used with my new Kubota Z452 zero turn. I used the same 3M Peltor 98 ear muffs I been using for years but for whatever reason with this particular machine, they seem to amplify the bass so obnoxiously that it sounds quieter without them on! I know it's not creating a perfect seal around my ears because of my hat...but it wasn't an issue with my older mower. I'm not really sure what to do, I don't like ear buds as I hate putting things in my ear but if it solves my problem then that will have to be what it is.

Any suggestions?
A cab?

Seriously though, some form of noise cancelling buds or headphones work well. I have both wired and wireless BOSE earbuds, but unless I'm on a plane I prefer the wireless type since head movement doesn't result in an unwanted garroting.

I bought two sets of the Isotunes Pro and a set of the LINK earmuffs a few years ago but the earbuds are in a drawer and I don't use them, and the LINK earmuffs reside in the garage and I use them a lot when grinding, drilling, welding etc.

Thanks for the recommendations on the ear muffs. It's crazy how different this Kubota mower sounds compared to my older one. This one is so much more low pitch and it's causing sound occlusion. It feels like someone put a subwoofer right next to my head lol.

I mean I don't really need to listen to music, I like to hear the equipment and hear what it's doing and stop if something doesn't seem right. I'm also tired of dealing with bluetooth all the time.

Yesterday I tried out my new Milwaukee weed trimmer...I got it for the rubber paddles to clean off the grass and areas after spring from all the snow plowing, but also would be good when cleaning up dirt and stuff when I do work with the tractor. But I wanted to try the spring trimmer attachment and wow, I am VERY impressed.

I mean, I still prefer my commercial grade Echo 2 stoker but I can see a time and place for reach. The battery one is quiet so if I wanted to get out early or late in the evening and not have to add more noise to the neighborhood, it will be a great tool to have. But if I have a A LOT of trimming to do, I am using the Echo.

I have like 1200+ feet of fence line I'll weed eat twice a month and while I prefer to use the Stihl, the Milwaukee keeps up really well. I also have the paddle wheel for putting gravel back as well as the pole saw and extension. Great little tool, most of its use is just around the house when I don't want to trek out to the barn for the gas-powered stuff.

We got our conex box delivered. We don't ever seem to have enough storage space especially when your father wants to keep everything. So, this box will make my wife happy because we can get more stuff moved out of the basement.

Spread some grass seed this morning and ripped out a few trees with the grapple.

View attachment 173873

Swapped the grapple for the SA10 PHD and 24" auger and poked 14 holes for the replacement trees.

If you don’t mind me asking what kind of tires are those? Almost looks like a very aggressive at/xt tire but I didn’t know those were available for tractors.

Took the box blade off and mounted the tiller.

Now all I need is a month of dry weather...:D

Actually, one of my last remaining customers lives on a VERY well drained ridge and is ready to have his plot tilled. If the weatherguessers are right, I'll go do that in the morning.
