I replaced my injection pump delivery holder seals because they were all cracked and leaking. Now my cylinder one doesn't fire until the engine is fully warmed up. I get white smoke. Is it possible I messed up timing while changing the orings?

You can move that injector to a different cylinder and see if problem follows the injector or if it is the cylinder.

I would bet it is the injector and it is messed up somehow. There are ways to see the spray pattern (arrange tube and injector outside the engine and spray onto a large cardboard piece with your hand in a leather glove and well away from the injector spray).

I have moved injectors around. No difference. Cylinder one still won't fire until the other two get it up to temp.

Well then that is an interesting problem. So was it running just fine before you replaced the seals and just now started this?

Since it is temperature related have you verified that the glow plug is working correctly? Did you have to remove anything to do with the glow plugs to get to the injectors? Make sure that the #1 glow plug is preheating the cylinder. Actually check all of them just so we know if they are all working correctly. I think you can use an infrared thermometer to see them if you hold them on for a few seconds. I use about 10 to 25 seconds of glow on my L185 depending on outdoor temperature (and I live in central Texas).

And just out of curiosity how do you know it is not firing and how do you know when it starts firing? Have you measured the block temperature when it starts to run properly?

Yea you very likely got something wrong when you reinstalled it.

Simple test, pull the lines off the pump and crank the engine with the throttle set to high.
You should get the same fountain out of each pump output.

But be sure to hold the larger hex “nut” under the nut on the line. If it turns that messes with the pump operation (if I am remembering correctly).
