For those that use the JD Fuel Transfer tanks, when you go to get it filled, does the larger diesel nozzle fit in the opening? The place where I will be going for off-road diesel has the larger nozzle type and that is why they will not fill the yellow 5 gallon jugs.

The opening in the JohnDow tanks is 2-1/2" so not a problem.

Not familiar with the John Dow tanks
but be aware of the vent size also.

the larger nozzles are high flow. If the vent is too small you will get soaked when filling it.

With a 2.5" fill opening you do not need a vent. I have the vevor version of that tank and believe me, the filler neck is plenty big enough to not need a vent.

I was just about to reply with a similar comment. Commercial diesel nozzles are 1-3/16" in diameter (O.D.) and as I posted above, the inlet on a JohnDow fuel tank is 2-1/2" I.D. Since a standard diesel nozzle is 15/16" O.D. you could probably fit a commercial and a standard nozzle in the fill port at the same time if you're in a hurry. :)
