What price range should I be expecting?

I’m in the market for a 50-65hp engine. I originally wanted to go with something pre-emissions but that’s becoming a hassle to locate so it seems like my only option now is to get something that is EPA regulated.

I’ve been searching online for the last several days to see what I can come up with. Sent several messages to some folks on eBay and to my surprise, nobody has responded.

I have come across some shops that have these engines in stock and list them as “surplus new” or lightly used <1000 hours.
I need something that is ready to go. I don’t want to source a radiator from here, harness from there etc etc.

below are some pictures from a few website I came across. I’ll call them Monday since they don’t list a price. But based on what you see, what’s a price range I should be expecting?

what exactly would you ask for on the surplus new claim? I figure the lightly used claim, the tach meter could always be swapped out if they are stating a certain hourly useage.

Also, no idea, but my guess is it might be cheaper to buy an entire tractor. At least, easier to find.

Yea it will be. I currently use a 40HP Kohler gas. But it’s time to step up.

no, I operate a Pressure Washing business in Central Florida. Water flow is king. Currently have 10.5 GPM at 3000 psi powered by that Kohler engine. Looking to upgrade to 25 gallons a minute at 3000 psi with the new diesel.

If I had a yard full of salvaged engines for sale….. They’d ALL BE LIGHTLY USED. I wouldn’t sell any other kind.
