Hello, I’m new to this forum and I see this has been covered before. I’m writing because when I looked up the tool to help an old buck with arthritic hands connect the hydraulic hoses to my backhoe attachment it looks like it’s over $1000(?)…
I’ve done all the things I’m supposed to do regarding relieving oil pressure in the lines but am having no luck getting them to seat properly. It’s almost like you need 3 hands!
Please would someone direct me to either some tips I haven’t tried or a tool that doesn’t break the bank!
Thank you!

There are many tools out there to relieve pressure on the hydraulic hoses to help connecting them. Here is an example but search to find the type of connections on your tractor. As far as a tool to actually help connecting them physically after the pressure is reduced I have no idea.

See these jaws for an Irwin clamp (which you have to buy also).

There is some company that sells them already converted but I don’t know how to find them.

The clamp is this kind of thing
