I’ve learned a hydraulic cylinder I have taken to a hydraulic repair shop is going to be around $2k to be repaired. (Pitted rod etc). I don’t know the exact measurements or specs on the cylinder. It’s approximately 6” in diameter and 36” long. I’m told the bore is 4”. It’s a standard single rod cylinder. It’s off an old dump truck bed that was turned into a dump trailer. I know this might be a long shot but does anyone know “about” what something like this would cost new? The thumb cylinder on my kx057 Excavator was $2400.00. I can’t imagine it being any cheaper than that, and assuming a lot more. Also, if I buy a new one the shop is telling me they no longer make this style of cylinder so I would need to adapt the trailer to receive the new cylinder. (The shop does not sell new cylinders).
Thank you all in advance!
