Boss wanted new flooring in the MBR so on the nicest weekend of the year, here I am. Currently 2 rows to go and slowed way down to remove trim and quadruple measure. My Apple Watch wanted to call for EMS three times yesterday. Tell you what, I’m using muscles I have not used in years. Last time I did a floor I had 15 less years on my knees and hips. Boss loves it. Get the planks done and hit the quarter round and thresholds during the week. Dogs would have been happy with a large open wrestling space

Looks good
.

The last time I did a room, I set up a “saw station” and gave the Mrs. a crash course.

I would call out the measurements, she would cut them and hand them to me.

Sure saved a lot of “up and down's” (y) (y)

I had my saw station in the small garage. Chop saw and jig saw. Not a lot of waste but I hear you on the up/down. This click lock stuff is not my favorite. Hard cutting and a lot of dust. I’d rather do tongue and groove and nail/staple it in. That being said, wood was almost 3x the cost and the Boss wanted waterproof because of the dogs. I have to say once I figured out the system, I got the last 4’ down a whole bunch faster including the doorway and air returns

hope you left them short otherwise they WILL buckle...
and why did you put carpet on top ?
They are just about 3/8 from the wall on all sides. Half inch quarter round will cover the gap. Carpet was just after we emptied the room and the pups were overjoyed.
