its a fair price, I will offer this. I have a 2601 and it is a nice tractor, if you are some what crippled up its hard to mount and dismount, the caps while more than a BX are not a selling point. The controls are not well placed, the seat does not move far enough back and it is no wider than a BX but it is taller which ,to at least, makes it a bit tippy on hills, which is why so many people opt for wheel spacers my self included. Had I known what I know I would have stepped up to the next size for what I wanted to do. Just MHO have the dealer bring it out for a weekend and run the snot out of it for everything you want to do, you might find it under whelming I sure did. And then look at the next size up , or to a BX they are a very capable machine, someone once said the B 2601 is a BX with a lift kit

I have an offer for a new 2026 Kubota B2601 with loader for $18,649. Thoughts on price? Good deal?
Sound like a good deal to me. I know Skeets has posted about problems he’s had with his b2601 but mine is nine years old has been flawless. I had a bx prior to the b and the b2601 for me was a big improvement

My price was very close to the Kubota Build price. Check that out. I don’t think most Kubota dealers are trying to charge too much.

Price is price…is that a good deal? IMO for that model is a decent price. Having started with a BX and worked my way to a B and also an MX, I would encourage you to consider is the model you are looking at the correct application for whatever is in your 5 year plan(unless you have a commercial application it would very rare to wear the machine out in 5 years)…I think what is difficult at first purchase is imagining your future uses.

IMO, Skeets is shooting you straight and referencing one of the criteria setting/purchasing genius’s who has learned(wasted good money) from multiple purchases😉. Depending on your future uses, deeply consider buying a size bigger than what you think you need. I believe majority of buyers find more uses once they understand the Capability of the machine and then quickly grow out of what they have. YMMV. Happy shopping.
