My Kubota M5040F tractor started to stall while running and has gotten worse over time. Fuel flow does not seem to be a problem, so i started troubleshooting the electrical system. I checked the Key Stop Relay and the Engine stop relay and have good connectivity and they are functioning as required. As soon as it stalls the Solenoid reenergizes in about two seconds and I can start it up again for another couple minutes. I think it may be the Hold coil in the solenoid, it gets pretty warn (i held on to it while running). If i need another Stop Solenoid, do I need to get the OEM part it is fairly pricey?

You can back probe the HOLD circuit wire at the connector using a multimeter. Just ground the black lead to the tractor frame. Watch the meter; if the engine shuts off and the voltage drops to near 0 volts, it's not the fuel shutoff solenoid.

You probably have a failing safety switch.
Which transmission do you have?

I did that and did not see any voltage drop!
