Hello all, I am looking at buying a L2600DT with FEL and two sets of forks. The tractor only has 265 hours and was stored indoors and appears to be in very good condition, the asking price is $11,000. My use for this would include moving stone/concrete blocks, dirt and with the addition of a box blade, leveling old farm rows and such. I am curious as to what other owners think of theirs and if the price is good for this compact tractor. I'm grateful for any information that the OTT folks can provide.

I lived in Cabot, AR for two years beginning in November of 2011. Welcome to the forum.

I had a BX25 for five years that was stored in a barn and I had considerably more hours on it than that L2600DT and yet the seat looked new as did painted surfaces. Are the "witness marks" on the tractor consistent with 265 hours of use? This tractor is anywhere from 23 to 26 years old.

As for the price, a new 27hp tractor with 4WD and only 265 less hours will cost a lot more than $11,000. If I were looking at this tractor I'd want to check the obvious via a test drive, look at all the fluids, the condition of the tires, loader function, hydraulic hoses, and 3-point function and then try to determine if the hour meter is functioning and representative of actual hours used. A service history would be good too but might not be realistic.

There's an L2900 for sale near me with 1,570 hours on it and the owner is asking $16,000 with a big box blade with hydraulic scarifiers. Just a point of reference.

Welcome to the forum sir. (y)

Not to be a “Debbie Downer” here, but if your primary goal is to move concrete blocks, I think that loader might be a wee bit anemic.

I am of the understanding that the “400” part of the name indicates that 400 kg is the max that the loader can lift.

So after you add/subtract the weight of the forks, that won’t leave too much capacity for concrete blocks.

Don’t get me wrong, …..I realize it’s better than nothing, I’m just pointing it out.

I also wonder why it comes with 2 sets of forks? …..Interesting.

EDIT: It also appears that the loader does not have SSQA….so I am assuming the “forks” are the “bucket bolt on” kind…..This further limits the overall capacity by keeping the load further out……Just sayin 🤷‍♂️
