Hello all, I’m new to forum. I’ve been trying to remove my steering wheel on my B26 for the last few days. After trying all the methods on this forum and youtube, I came up with the following solution that worked great. I placed two medium sized cargo straps around the ROPS canopy and through the steering wheel. I racketed both medium tight then struck the steering wheel spline shaft with a brass punch. Note: I left spline shaft nut loosely in place as to not get wack in face by steering wheel. Voi.la. Success!

Nice "thinking outside of the box" and working with what you have to solve a problem. Although I might have used it as an excuse to go by a new tool.

Welcome to OTT by the way!

YEP! THAT’s the “technique!” Leave the loosened nut on the spline-shaft and , while pulling up on the steering-wheel with whatever…(i used a gear-puller)… Whack! the nut smartly…and the wheel comes right off!

Hint: When re-installing the steering wheel… first paint a little anti-seize on the shaft… THEN REMEMBER !! …. the steering wheel is on a Splined-Shaft and does NOT need to be heavily-torqued-Down. Just a “snug” on the nut.
