Asking for a friend. The tractor will not move in high range. Middle and low range seam to work correctly. The owner replaced the external oil filter but I do not know what oil was used. Is there an internal screen that might be clogged?

Also where can I find a safe website to get a wsm?

Thanks

I doubt this has anything to do with the oil.

When you say it will not move in high range what do you mean? Is it acting the same as it would act if the range selector was between selections? Is the engine lugging down when you try to move in high range? Or?

My B 2910 is essentially the same tractors the B 2710 except for engine horsepower. The HST power is transferred by the same circuit as far as I know regardless of what range you’re using. My understanding is that the only difference is the mechanical gear change when you change speed ranges. So if it works normally in low range and mid range, chances are pretty good it’s a mechanical issue related to high range. Such as for some reason the gears are not shifting into the high ranch position.

The more information you give the better the chances are you’ll get a definitive answer.

Thank you so much. My son started to pull the front axle after hearing some noises in the front axle. The bearings are toast. There was only about 20 oz of fluid in the axle. What a mess.
