Pork Tenderloin with Mushrooms and Corn - Jacques Pépin Foundation

Lean, tender and flavorful, pork tenderloin cooks quickly. For a fast, unusual sauce I use V8 and then serve with a sauté of mushrooms and corn.

I wasn't big on the corn and mushrooms so I did oven browned potatoes and steamed baby bok choy. I also added a dash of worchestershire as he mentions. Very tastY and QUICK.

Wife whipped up some Hatteras Clam Chowder on a snowy Saturday while I did the service on her ride. Time to eat and watch the snow.

Yesterday in anticipation of watching a very disappointing Syracuse University basketball game on TV….had them assembled and sitting on the chest freezer in the garage.

1 with sausage, peppers, mushrooms, onions and 1 plain cheese.

Syracuse played so poorly I totally missed a picture of the finished product.

Aloo Gobi
Potato and Cauliflower Curry​

When I was still working I ate lunch at a nearby Indian buffet at least 2 or 3 times a week. Aloo Gobi was almost always on the menu and I loved it. The owner made an awesome dry version with absolutely no gravy and sliced hot green chilis.. I have tried and failed to duplicate it so this time I went with a wet version that worked a lot better.

all the places to get food on campus are closed today so I cooked for our staff.. brats with kicked up kraut (garlic, bell pepper and onions) loaded up smashed potatoes (lots of butter and sour cream as nature intended)

Merry Christmas. Got up early and smoked some prime rib. Family shows up at 4:15. Did a turkey as well

A simple Christmas lunch. Last summers garden butternut and sweet potatoes from the root cellar roasted. Garden green beans we froze and applesauce we canned along with some ham.

I had a small smoked had I did early in the fall in the freezer, was going to do it up yesterday, but it seems all the kids had other plans so me and cat had meat balls yesterday. But I digress, in to the slow cooker, some ginger ale and let it go, the house smells wonderful so now mashed taters and a veggie, the little soulless spawn will never know what they missed,, lol
