Difference in Fuel pump of D1005

Hello,
I am in the process of replacing the core Kubota D1005 in my boat engine.
Now the original one seems to be different with the fuel pump system.

Can anyone here explain the differences to me?

That's not a fuel pump, that's a hydraulic pump.
You will need to remove it and use the block off plate.
The fuel pump for that engine was more than likely an electric pump.
You can remove the plate and install a mechanical pump.

So the insides are the same. No worries about missing parts then, I assume.
