I just installed a simple power hookup on the back of my BX tractor. for those that do not know Kubota put electrical wire near the 3 pt hitch. They are noticeable as most are covered in a blue electrical tape. Cut and remove the tape and you will see 2 positive hookups, and 1 ground hookup. Of the two positive, one is full time power even when the tractor is off, and the other is only when the key is on. The ground wire is a little longer and has an SAE plug. I went a little overboard and cut a 3.5 inch piece of 1/2 by 5 inch piece of plastic. I bored 2 hole in the plastic, and the rops for mounting. The cut a 1 inch round hole for mounting the SAE port.
I decided to go with the full time positive power, as I don't want to ride around during daytime with the rops lights on. This way I can have my rops light SAE plug near the port and plug in when I need the lights. You cannot forget to disconnect as they will remain on when you shut the tractor off. I tested it and a battery maintainer hooks up to it nicely, for charging the tractor battery or just maintaining it during winter months. Its is going to be a good addition, and the SAE port only cost about 7 dollars
